MAASIN CITY, SOUTHERN LEYTE -- Local and overseas employment job opportunities are up for grabs for jobseekers here as the Saint Joseph College (SJC), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment – Southern Leyte Field Office (DOLE-SLFO) and the Provincial Government of Southern Leyte, is set to spearhead a one (1) day Jobs Fair on Friday, December 14 at the Gunfrida Covered Court, SJC, Tunga-Tunga, Maasin City.
DOLE Southern Leyte Field Office Head Fe Norma Valuis announced that both local and overseas employers are participating in the jobs fair. Some of the local establishments include the Tacloban-based RMH Teleservices/APAC Recruitment, Sinai Manpower Services, and The Oriental Hotel; Hyper Market (Metro Gaisano) and Bayantel in Maasin; Gaisano Capital, Prince Gate Warehouse, and Quality Care in Sogod; and OSPA of Ormoc City.
Among the top vacancies for local employment in these participating establishments include Call Center Agents, Call Center Representatives, Sales Clerks, Cashiers, and Sales Agents. The newly opened Oriental Hotel in Tacloban City has posted vacancies for Food & Beverage Supervisor, Chief Steward, Captain Waiter/Waitress, Bar Captain, Cost Controller, Room Attendants/Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage Service Attendants. A local telephone company is also in need of Sales Agents.
There are six (6) participating employment agencies for job opportunities overseas. These include the Ruru Global Recruitment Services, Inc., MMML Recruitment services, Inc., New Era Placement Agency, Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corporation, Unijobs International Manpower Services Corporation, and Zareiko Productions, Incorporated.
The top vacancies listed by participating employment agencies for overseas employment opportunities, mostly for countries in the Middle East, are Carpenters, Electricians, Drivers, Foremen, Sales Managers, Pipefitters, Plumbers, Cooks, Chefs, Babysitters, Domestic Helpers, Tutors, Accountants, Nursing Aides, Architects, Bakers, Baristas, Caregivers, Cashiers, Draftsmen, Lady Drivers, Engineers, Restaurant Managers, Waiters, Mechanics, Massage Therapists, and Welders.
The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Regional Coordinating Office is likewise bringing its employment facilitation services to the Jobs Fair for the benefit of jobseekers intending to get employment overseas.
