A simple turn-over ceremony held at the Calbayog City Hall grounds marked the formal release of the funds. DOLE Samar Field Office Provincial Head Edgar B. Tabuyan, City Administrator Rosario Gonzaga and Calbayog PESO Manager Puring Sarzata graced the event.

Some 250 livelihood beneficiaries are expected to benefit from the fund release. The various individual livelihood projects to be funded include Food Processing, Sari-Sari Stores, Rice Retailing, Carenderia, Carpentry, Hollow Blocks Making, Fishing, Hog-Fattening, Baking, and Dressmaking.

“The grant fund released to the LGU will be used to procure all the needed raw materials, tools and jigs, and other equipment needed in the implementation of the various livelihood projects of the beneficiaries,” Tabuyan pointed out.

As the accredited co-partner (ACP) and proponent in the project implementation, the LGU Calbayog will undertake the procurement and implementation of the project.
