Each beneficiary received Php 3,421.12 for their services rendered for the 20-days implementation of the SPES program in the said LGU within the period July 1 to 31, 2020. They were duly assisted by Mr. Aurelio M. Fabi, Gandara PESO Manager and Ms, Karen Joan L. Libres, Labor and Employment Officer II and SPES focal person of DOLE-SFO.

Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the assistance received especially during this pandemic. They said the program is indeed very helpful for them and their families.

“I really appreciate this SPES program of DOLE because it enables us students to help our families especially this time of crisis. With this money, we can ease the burden of our parents in providing for our educational needs”, said Eva Rose Elizalde, one of the SPES beneficiaries.

SPES is DOLE’s youth employment-bridging program that aims to provide temporary employment to poor but deserving students and out-of-school youths (OSYs) during summer and/or Christmas vacation to augment the family’s income and to pursue their education.
