DOLE RO8 calls for CAMP Bayanihan 2 applicants

Tacloban City – The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 8 calls on private establishments and workers in Eastern Visayas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to apply for the department’s COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) under the RA 11494 or the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan 2).

With the approval of the Bayanihan 2 granting DOLE the funds, CAMP, a safety net program that provides one-time financial support of Php 5,000.00 to workers affected by COVID-19, will again be implemented.

Submission of applications for CAMP is online at https:/

Assistant Regional Director Amable Ildefonso C. Roa, informed that per Department Order No. 218 series of 2020, priority will be given to those displaced workers of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that applied for CAMP on or before 15 April 2020 but did not receive any financial assistance under Bayanihan 1.

He likewise clarified that those who have already applied for CAMP in the first implementation but did not receive the assistance will need to apply again with the new online system developed by DOLE Central Office.

The DO 218 stipulates that those who have already received assistance from other government agencies will no longer qualify to avail of the CAMP under Bayanihan 2.

“Per DO 218, those who have already availed assistance from other agencies such as Department of Social Welfare & Development, Department of Finance and Department of Agriculture will be disqualified from availing CAMP. Of course this is to avoid duplication of availment of government resources considering there are still thousands of displaced workers waiting to be served”, ARD Roa said.

It can be recalled that DOLE stopped accepting and processing CAMP applications last April 15, 2020 due to exhausted funds. End/Norma Rae S. Costimiano
