DOLE to hold Online Job Fair on June 12

Tacloban City – In celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day, the Department of Labor and Employment, in partnership with different online job portals, will conduct a simultaneous nationwide online job fair on June 12, 2021.

With the theme, “Diwa ng Kalayaan sa Pagkakaisa at Paghilom ng Bayan”, DOLE-Regional Office No. 8 partners with Mynimo in the conduct of the virtual job fair for jobseekers in Eastern Visayas.

All interested applicants just need to access the site, to join the online event. 

Regional Director Henry John S. Jalbuena encouraged all jobseekers in the region to participate and get the chance to be hired during this pandemic.

“To our jobseekers, please grab this opportunity to get employed through our online job fair. Even when we are still in a pandemic, we are doing everything we can to assist you”, said Jalbuena. 

Director Jalbuena likewise reminded all applicants to secure a strong internet connection as it will be one important factor for them to successfully join the event.

“Aside from preparing their respective resumes and other requirements, I advise our applicants to secure a strong internet connection considering this is an online activity”, Jalbuena added.

As of 10 June 2021, there are almost 250 local jobs which are up for grabs on June 12. Said job postings are coming from eight (8) participating employers namely, DOLE-RO8, Citi Hardware Naval, Chuliante Group of Companies, Bertahan Distribution Corporation, LCTC Allied Service, Dranix Distribution, Ormoc Doctors Hospital and River Valley Distribution Inc. (RVDI). 

Among the listed local job vacancies are as follows: interns, service technicians, merchandisers, accounting staff, salesmen, call center agents, nurses, medical technologist, radiologic technician, dietitian, plumber, drivers and warehouse checker.

Meanwhile, POEA informed that there were eight (8) recruitment agencies with 2,136 job orders for abroad which signified to join the online event. However, due to some technical constraints, said agencies were not able to register in the online portal. These agencies include Ascend International Services, Billboard Promotions Inc., Catalist International Manpower Services Co., ERRX Recruitments Consulting, IUPP, Maanyag International Manpower, MMML Recruitment Services and Non-Stop Overseas Employment Corp.
