Tacloban City – The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 8 through its Biliran Field Office conducted on January 3-4, 2022 a massive payout of TUPAD wages amounting to over P9.9 million pesos for 3,050 beneficiaries of the municipalities of Naval and Almeria.
Each beneficiary received P3,250.00 as payment for the 10-day emergency employment implemented in their place.
Regional Director Henry John S. Jalbuena led the said payout together with BFO Head, Ms. Cristina T. Longjas, Mayor Richard Jaguros of Almeria and Mr. Jeane Sanjorjo representing Mayor Gerard Espina of Naval.
Director Jalbuena encouraged all the beneficiaries to always have hope. He said that the TUPAD program will continue to reach more workers who are in great need.
“The TUPAD program has already assisted many beneficiaries all over the region and I assure you that it will continue to reach more needy workers”, said Jalbuena.
Meanwhile, Ms. Longjas reminded the beneficiaries to spend their hard-earned money only for their basic needs.
